Positively Powerful Good Times…One Month Anniversary. One month ago on Friday May 16^th from 5:30-9PM and Saturday May 17^th from 9AM-6PM, we created history or perhaps it should be called her-story. This was the first time ever Positively Powerful Women Celebrate(d)! The event was made possible by about 80 women on the first day, 55 on the second day, and corporate friends (also known as sponsors) from eight companies: Southwest Gas Corporation, eWomen Network, Anheuser-Busch Bud Light Lime, Dial A Henkel Company, Arizona Informant Newspaper, Phoenix Mercury of the Women Basketball Association, Arizona Public Service, and Perini Construction. These were the corporate friends who invested corporate dollars and supported the Triad West Inc. Positively Powerful Event dream. There was also a ninth corporate friend, Chaparral Suites in Scottsdale, AZ who “put on the Ritz” for the women.

For attendees, it was an exceptional 1 and1/2 day of networking, fun, personal introspection, giving and receiving, and skills building development. Women left with new friends, new connections, eWomen purse pins, goodie bags, and the “I am positively powerful!” commemorative canvas tote. We debuted the new Positively Powerful eLearning program on creating vision then too.

Corporate sponsors and their representatives were featured in video, online on the Triad West Inc. website, blog, and fliers leading up to the event, in advertising, press releases, all materials for the event, and we placed their ads in participants’ workbooks. The Anheuser-Busch Bud Light Lime sampling reception completed the inaugural event in first-class style. We loved the new product!

There will never be another first time. And this one couldn’t have been better. Dreams were born and Triad West’s dream fulfilled. Mark your calendars for April 24^th and 25^th , 2009 when Positively Powerful Women Celebrate II will be held.
