2009 Positively Powerful Gala Awards Dinner, 5:30PM to 9PM. Friday, April 17th What it is:
An evening dedicated to acknowledging visionary women who have founded legacy organizations. A celebratory dinner with honoree panel. An opportunity to say “thank you!” to a non-profit organization by raising funds through raffles. Acknowledgement and appreciation of our sponsors. Opportunities to connect with positively powerful men and women. Gifts for all. Cocktails. Vendors offering products and services that fit with the gala event. And surprises… Positively Powerful Women-Only Retreat Saturday, April 18th – What it is: An intensive full-day workshop that builds on the empowerment and inspirational energy of the previous evening. Designed for women entrepreneurs, corporate executives, educators, trainers, homemakers, students, legal professionals, and community organizers:
- 8AM-9AM: Breakfast & Networking
- 9AM: Interactive refreshing sessions focusing on building businesses, launching dreams, contributing to self, “having it all”, enhancing relationships, and being a positively powerful woman.
- Noon: Luncheon. Positively Powerful Health, Fashion, And Beauty Show. Gifts.
- 2PM to 5:30: Dynamic tactical workshops creating actionable strategies and relevant opportunities for women and their organizations. Ending Appreciation Ceremony.
- 6PM Closing Reception
What it is not: This is not a bunch of boring sessions with PowerPoint presentations and “talking heads”. The workshop is highly collaborative and mutually supportive. Think brainstorming and conversations. Think brilliant women sharing their gifts, ideas, and experiences.
