Simmons’ Post – Def Comedy it’s Not.
Russell Simmons born in 1957, wrote a post on “The Global Grind” and picked up by the Huffington Report that will appeal to the Baby Boomers — a cultural generation that were New Agers, Freedom Marchers, and catalysts marching for the world to ‘Overcome’. His post, “The Indictment of America” is a cautionary essay on what we need to be mindful in these times of great polarization of thinking. Regardless of where you are in your thinking about the political parties acti
ons or lack thereof, it’s worth a read.
Here is the first paragraph:
Sometimes I’m amazed that we are still breathing. With horrible abuses of animals, the planet and human kind, it’s amazing that we are still here. But now I’m really afraid that our beloved country, America, is standing on its last wobbly legs. I’m worried that the karmic effects of our negative actions will finally come home to roost.
He goes on to speak about the message of love from our President. Who you might ask could possibly be against love, well there are some who are apparently.
So my question to you is how do we go about changing the predominant conversation to one that proclaims that there is an abundance of love and caring in the world. We need not wait for another catastrophe and the worst to happen before we honor and respect each other.
