3rd Positively Powerful Women Celebrate! Creates History
“How many of you give to yourself as much as you give to others? What is the secret of your success? How do you find balance in your life? If you had a magic wand, how would you change the world?” Author, renowned international speaker, and president of Triad West Inc., Dr. Joel Martin will ask these questions and others during the spotlight event of her famous event in Scottsdale, The Positively Powerful Women Celebrate Awards Luncheon. The 3rd Annual will be held May 21st at the Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix from 11:30am to 2pm.
“Positively Powerful Women Celebrate” is the Gala Awards Luncheon for entrepreneurial businesswomen and men, corporate executives, educators, trainers, and community-minded individuals. The award recipients are women who with courage and tenacity have founded or lead their own legacy organizations. Dr. Martin:
“This year we will honor our first Positively Powerful Corporate Woman Award Recipient and our first Positively Powerful Nonprofit Executive Woman Award Recipient. I am excited to be able to include these new awards as evidence of how broad the scope of Positively Powerful Women has grown.This year’s award winners will be announced shortly. Our 3rd annual Positively Powerful Workshop for Women will follow at a later date.”
The award recipients of 2009 (Photo above) were Maria Benson, Owner and Founder of upscale furnishings boutique, “Nyla Simone Home”, Pam Gaber, President, Founder “Gabriel’s Angels”, that addresses the pressing need to enhance the lives of severely abused children through the application of Pet Therapy, Choo Tay, President and CEO of internet marketing firm “media88” who co-founded the “Arizona Asian American Association”, and Fatimah Halim, President / CEO Life Paradigms Inc. “Rites of Passage Programs”.
The 2008 inaugural award recipients were Joanna De’Shay, Founder, Arizona Black Film Showcase, Ruth Covey, Founder, The Arizona Magic of Music & Dance which produces a theater production program for children and young adults with physical or mental disabilities, and Susan Ratliff, Founder, Women’s Entrepreneurs Small Business Boot Camp.
